We currently use an external timekeeping system driving data into Microsoft
Project Server 2003/Project Professional 2003. Project Server time sheets
are disabled/hidden so that there is no chance of personnel entering time
that way.
We have isolated several instances where Actual Work Protected is greater
than the total time entered into the external time system. Upon examination
of the time phased data for actual work protected in Project, we found many
instances of "strange data" and in some cases future data. Review of the
logs on the time keeping system does not indicate that a time transaction
ever occurred for the date nor is there an associated entry in the
MSP_WEB_Work_Adjusted table.
Is there any other way to get time phased actual work protected into project
professional other than the PWA time sheet function whether used stand alone
or in conjunction with an external time keeping system?
