Time Periods

I'm assuming administrator responsiblities, and am new to timesheet
reporting. Users, and myself included have been entering time. This
period, we have the 31st on a Monday, but when we try to cycle forward
to the next time period are getting the message:

"No periods have been defined after the current period. Contact your
server administrator for more information."

My assumption is that somebody has to turn on the next time period and
allow us to begin entering time into into it.

The person who has been doing administration is out.

I'm hoping it's nothing that I've done that caused this. I did publish
a new task and resource assignments, but I believe it was well after I
first discovered the 31st problem.

I'm looking for "time period reporting" features and not finding them.

Whew! Found the reference to opening a new time period in the
Administrator's Guide. Boy, is that a valuable document! ...and
freely available as part of the Resource Kit on the Microsoft Project
Server web site.
