Time reported differently in Portfolio Analyzer

We have an situation where a resource has booked four
hours on a Friday and four hours on a Satuday, and the
time has also been approved. When this is viewed either
from within Project Professional or any view in PWA other
than Portfolio Analyzer this is what is shown, however
when this is viewed in Portfolio analyzer it shows as 5.5
on Friday and 2.5 on Saturday.

Our Standard Calendar has a five and a half hour working
day and Saturday is set as non-working time.

We have republished the project and re-run the OLAP cube
but still the same. Does anyone have and idea on why this
occurs and what can be done about it?

James:

The way Project distributes the reported hours depends on the tracking
method and task type. You didn't mention either.

Hi Gary,

Hours of work done per day per week, and fixed Unit tasks.

I changed the booked time to 4hrs Friday and 4hrs Monday
and everything was fine, it just seemed to occur when the
4hrs were booked to the saturday, which is set as non
working time in the calendar.

Thanks

James
