timelines and grid lines

I'm working on a project timeline. The timeline is at the
bottom of the page, and I've added boxes to indicate areas
of work that need to be done. When you look at the visual
on screen, you can tell to a reasonable approximation where
on the timeline a particular box falls into because there
are gridlines. However, when you print, the grid lines
don't print, so it's hard to tell. Does anyone know how to
print gridlines or some other way to get around this?
Thanks.

Visio 2003 has a Print the Grid option. You can also just draw your own
lines. You might change the thickness to be only 1 pixel or you might make
them gray instead of black.

If you draw your own lines, put them on a background page and/or attach them
to a layer that's locked so they don't get in the way of editing your
drawing.
