Times missing from start and end fields

I just setup new pc's for some users who were using Win2000 and Project 2000.
I transferred their mpp's to their new pc's which have WinXP and Project 2000
on them. Files open fine, but their .mpp files do not show the time in the
start and end fields (Gannt chart). Only the dates. It's the same with all XP
users and all mpp files. I've gone to format and changed it to date and
time, but no luck. Any suggestions how to fix?

check that the date format you're using shows times as well as dates
tools / options / view tab - date format drop down box.
