Times New Roman is replaced by another font by the same name

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel A goofy looking font (not named Times New Roman) I downloaded off of a website is now posing as Times New Roman. How can I replace a real Times New Roman for this kooky impostor?

Try looking for Office Font Cache (11) for Office2004, Font cache (12)
for Office 2008.

Now shut down Office2004 (or 2008) now remove the file(s) to trash empty.

Restart Computer.
Then open Office2004 (2008)

and wait .....

the cache should be rebult.

hopefully you problem will disappear.

Find the goofy looking font in Fontbook and get rid of it.
