Timescale above graphics does not print

I am using MS Project 2000. I have about a 6000 line schedule. I want to
print out the complete schedule. After page 50 (of 278) the Timescale at
the top of each page does not print but it shows on the screen during print
preview.

Any thoughts about how to fix this? I have tried different printers, and
setup's less colums to display to to avail.

Thanks ahead of time for this solution

hi,

Use the Bottom Tier, Middle Tier, and Top Tier tabs in the Timescale dialog
box to specify formatting and view options for these three tiers of the
timescale for the current view.

Use the SIZE option in the Timescale dialog box to reduces or enlarge the
timescale so that you can see more or less time in the same space. Type a
whole number between 25 and 1000.

On the Format menu, click Timescale, and then click the Top Tier, Middle
Tier, or Bottom Tier tab. On the tab for the displayed timescale tier, in the
Units box, click the time unit you want to use. To condense or spread out the
columns of the timescale tier, type or select the percentage you want in the
Size box.

Regards,

Haris.

Hi Haris,

Are you using MS Project 2000? I can't seem to find the "bottom tier,
middle tier, and top tier" tabs in the timescale dialog box. I also don't see
the size option dialog box.

Thanks for your help but I don't think I can accomodate your suggestion in
MS Project 2000.

hi,

I am using MS Project 2002 and 2003.
For 2000 i think the tiers were referred as major and minor units.

A timescale area on a Gantt Chart displays two time unit levels:
Major Units scale
Minor Units scale

The time units, dates can be formatted to fit into your viewing needs.

To format Timescale area in MS Project 2000:

In the Gantt Chart View, choose Format, Timescale to open the Timescale
Dialog box.

In the Major and Minor scale sections, select the units of time you want.

Each set of units has a Label and an Align box. Select the desired values
and click OK.

Regards,

Haris

Haris,

I thank you for the time you have taken to help. My problem in a nutshell
is after page 50, the timeline won't print at all...the first fifty pages are
fine.

This is what I am trying to overcome. The other suggestions you provided
don't seem to help what happens after page 50. I have 278 pages to print and
from page 51 and beyond the timeline doesn't print at all.

This "bug" seems associated with Project 2000. I loaded my file on a PC that
has Project 2003, and it works fine.
