Timesheet Update Configure?????

Dear All,

Could we configure Project server 2003 like:

Manager A assign task to resources but he want that the timesheet
update will send to his manager (i mean General manager).

Please tell me if we could do that!!!

I believe you are wanting a project manager to maintain the project plan, but
your General Manager to approve timesheets and update the plan with actual
time. To do this, the GM has to open the project plan in Pro and Republish
Assignments. Check the box to become the maner of the assignments. You may
want to uncheck the e-mail notification. The GM will then be the person who
"owns" the assignments and will receive the timesheets for approval. The GM
must also have timesheet approval permissions.

If you want the PM to maintain the plan and also update it with actual time,
the PM must "own" the assignments. Providing the RBS is defined correctly and
timesheet approval permissions are set for the GM, then the GM will get
timesheet approvals but only from an administrative (Resource Manager)
perspective. The approvals will not update the plan.
