I'am experiencing a lot of problems to enable my team to book their
time in the PWA (Timesheet view)
I stick to procedure proposed by different people from this group:
1 - from the PWA - Admin Menu / Customize Microsoft Project Web Access
- In specify default method for reporting I tick the default option
(hours of work done per day or per week...."
2 - From all my projcts, I ensured that in the tools/customize/publish
fields the same method was defined
3 - I republish all of my assignements

But in the PWA, for different users I can not update the timesheet for
all of the tasks:
- For some I can
- For some it's read only field

Does some of you have an idea how to fix this ?

When you republished the projects, did you click Collaborate - Publish -
Republish Assignments? Those specific steps must be done to "push" your new
method of tracking out to each team member's timesheet. Let me know and
we'll try to help you.

Another thing that can cause "grayed out" task lines in
PWA is if the tasks are deleted from the project plan and
then the plan republished. Don't know if this applies but
it causes the symptom.
