Hello,

i was testing on timesheets and got the following error. How do i
troubleshoot that ?

Error summary/areas:
There has been an error processing a timesheet for which you are/were
responsible. Check your approvals list to locate the offending
timesheet if one exists. The error condidtion may be related to the
fact that Timesheets are a state driven feature; therefore, the
allowable values for processing are dependent upon the existing value
which for this transaction was 3. Refer to the documentation to
determine which status transitions are allowable and submit the
transaction.

Has anyone found a solution for this "Timesheet Approval" queue job failure?

We may have hit upon the cause - not sure. Typically this happens if I
submit the timesheet to you, and before you get your hands on it to approve
it, I recall it to make a change to it.

This problem continues to exist even in the EPM 2010. I do not know if anyone has found the solution.
Here is one tried and it worked.

This issue/ error occurs only if you have updated a timesheet AFTER sending the timesheet once.
In case you want to update an already submitted timesheet, please go to Manage My Timesheets, select the timesheet and RECALL it first. After recall, you can edit it at will and submit it back again.
Under the present circumstances, only thing that can be done is DELETE this timesheet and create it again.
Unfortunately this is a fact in EPM that it allows editing after ?approval?. But, I am sure there cases and scenarios where such updating is required even after the approval. For this, RECALL is the recourse.
