Timesheets and Financial periods

M

mike

Hello, I have a client who I assume wants timesheets to match a month
exactly. Is this at all Possible. For Example the last day in March
ends on a Tuesday. So could a timesheet be defined for Sun to tue and
then another one for Wed thru Sat?

I doubt that you can abouve, does the defining of Financila Periods
allow you to reprot hours from a cube?

Thanks

If the client needs this for financial reporting, I would do the following:

1. Create weekly Timesheet Periods based on the client's reporting cycle
(Server Settings - Timesheet Periods). This ususally means Monday through
Sunday, or Sunday through Saturday. You create the time periods as weekly
to simplify the time reporting process by users.

2. Create Financial Periods using the Standard Calendar Year option, which
creates 12 monthly Fiscal Periods (Server Settings - Financial Periods).
This allows the client to exact monthly information from the timesheets.

Hope this helps.
