I'm testing out an install of Project Server 2007 for work. We're interested
in having all our staff use the Outlook plugin to submit their timesheets.
However, I can't seem to get it to work intuitively.
The most significant problem is:
If i have a single task for 7.5 hours on Friday 22th, but submit 7.5 hours
for the 21st and the 22nd, the manager only seems the 7.5 hours for the 22th.
It's as though only "planned work" is being reported. I messed around with
"My Timesheet" in PWA and "Imported a Timesheet", and that finally got the
entry from the 21st to show up, but I'm not quite sure what I did, and I'd
definetly not want the staff to have to do this.
Another smaller problems is:
The "Save to Project Web Access" button within a task seems to do something,
but hitting "Update Project Web Access" in the toolbar seems to submit the
resubmit the task (it doesn't create a duplicate). I'm trying to understand
the difference between the two buttons.
