Timesheets from Appointments (for a group)

Hello reader,

platform will be outlook XP - 2003 on windows 2003 with exchange 200?

I'm a developer, can use VBA, object models, etc but need to be pointed
in a direction here...

I'd like to have users enter Appointments in outlook, (do the work) then i'd
like them to be able to click a majic button and get MSSQL Server timesheets
created. They would need a couple of lookups and dropdowns from a SQL
database in order to complete timesheet records.

I don't know whats possible with Outlook 2003 or Outlook in general really.

I would envision something like an Outlook Appointment screen with more than
1 user listed (I need to show about 4-5 users so their time can be allocated
easily. I "guess" that might be a public folder candidate. Not that I
really know much about them.

I've heard of Outlook forms, would I then be able to create an outlook form
in that public folder that accessed the Database for the lookups and wrote
the timesheet data?

How would I distribute that, (if, at all, it was the solution)??? ie,
maybe,,, what form does that outlook form in a public folder take? or
am I on the wrong track here, is there a far better way that i'm not aware
of.
