Timesheets - Mistakes!!!

Can anyone tell me how to correct this problem. When a
resource goes in and accidentally fills in time for a
wrong task, recognizes the error, then deletes the time.
However, the time is still showing up as red., so he is
forced to submit it to the PM. The PM looks at the errored
task and rejects it. However, the rejection does not make
the task inactive in the resources time sheet. Why doesn't
the rejection clear everything out? So the resource
submits his time again.

It seems to me like we are caught in a loop in this
situation. Has anyone experienced this problem? I am
dumbfounded on this one.

Thanks
John

I don't what version of MSP you have but in MSP2002 the project manager can republish this assignment and it should reset the timesheet. If no progress has been updated. Most of the time, if you do a combination of republishing, reject and accept tasks between the resource and the project manager this will sync up the MS Project plan and the PWA timesheet. Make sure the resource is hitting the delete key to remove the hours and reset the remaining hours

Hope this helps

Have manager republish all information. Mangager could
also manually fix things in the project side, and then
republish. Hope this helps.
