Timesheets Question - Enterprise Fields

Platform: Project Server 2007.

I see that you can change the My Timesheets view so that it includes
enterprise fields (project, task and resource). Do you know where this data
is then stored? Is this just information that is stored with the timesheet
line item itself if it is entered there? For example, we might want a team
member to select a phase for the line item (project) but I want to make sure
we arent going against any best practice. We have time recording set up to be
by project and are exploring the option of collecting additional data for the
project during timesheet submission assuming it doesn't overwrite actual
project data within the timeline. Thanks in advance.

Time entered in the My Timesheet page does not impact project data in the
actual Microsoft Project plan. Only data that is entered on the My Tasks
page, submitted to the PM for approval, and then approved by the PM makes it
into the Microsoft Project plan. Hope this helps.

Custom field values that are submitted are saved per timesheet line item.
Nice feature - they are stored in the published database in the
dbo.MSP_TIMESHEET_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES table.
