All office products come up with symbols insted of characters - for example -
in outlook - inbox comes up as .)"*** - bold dots, piramyds etc

Any suggestions?? there should be a global setting somewhere or is it
possible that the Marlett ?? font is corrupted ??

Thanks - Ian McDonald

Which version of Office and Windows? The following information is for WinXP
SP2 and Office 2003.

Have you gone into the Windows display (right-click desktop, choose
properties, then go to Appearance tab) and hit the Advanced tab to see what
font is set for the Active Window title bar? Check to make sure you have
that font installed, or change it to one you know you have.

Also, right-click desktop, choose properties, then go to Appearance tab. If
you choose "Win XP Style," the default font is Trebuchet MS. (You'll see
this if you then hit the Advanced" tab.) If you use "Win Classic Style"
there, it's Tahoma.
