Title in Project Summary

MS Project 2003 (11.2.2005.1801.15) SP2 Project Server 2003 SP1

We have created templates and I want line zero (project title) to reflect
the project name. I can open a template included with out of the box MS
Project and it will replace "project 1" with the name I save the project
with. However, when I open one of the custom templates we created I can't
seem get it to automatically populate the title with the name I save it to.
How can I clean up/out the title from the template so it automatically
inherits the project name when initially saved?

Before you save the project as a template, click File - Properties and set
the Title to the same name that you will use to save the template. Does
that work for you? Let us know.

Dale-

I think what he wants is the same functionality when you open a new project
and its called Project1. When you save that file the first time, it
automatically chnages the name in File Properties to the same file name you
use to save the file. It only happens the very first time as if you rename a
file it does not change the file properties. I think it is probably a VBA
change that could be made. Maybe Spunky could check for this functionality
in the programming nesgroup?

Thanks but what I was looking for was in Dale's email. I wrote a reply but
it seems it didn't make it in the thread. It went something like, yeah!!!
whoopeee!!! horay! It was one of those I had tried everything but the
obvious. Thanks Dale.
