.tmp files

When I open an email attachment, it leaves a .tmp file on my desktop. I
understand that it leaves them but I need it to go somewhere besides my
desktop. I talked to Dell and they say it is a Microsoft 2007 issue.

Dell is wrong. It's probably their Media Direct program or it's your
antivirus program. First, uninstall Cyberlink Outlookaddin in Add/Remove
Programs. Then uninstall your AV program and reinstall it without the mail
scanning feature.
