To Buy or not To Buy

Hi:

This is my first time posting to this group and I'm not sure whether
this is the right Frontpage subgroup for my question. So please
forgive me if I've posted to the wrong subgroup.

I'm currently running MS Office XP Professional on a computer with
Windows XP Professional. Unfortunately, my MS Office XP Professional
suite does not include MS Frontpage.

As strange as it seems, my system and the MS Office programs run
fantastically well.

So here's my dilemma. I want to start producing Web pages. And,
after reading my reference books for MS Office XP Professional, MS
Frontpage XP (2002) would be easy because it looks and feels like a
combination of Word and Powerpoint, both of which I work with
extensively.

Stores and Web retailers are offering MS Frontpage 2003 right now, but
I could probably still find MS Frontpage XP still for sale. However,
using MS Frontpage 2003 with my Office XP Professional suite would be
a mismatch and cause problems. Also, some gurus tell me that
installing MS Frontpage XP to my current set up could cause problems
because I didn't install it together with the other programs in my
Office XP Professional suite.

Your comments would be appreciated.

Yes, you have to purchase Frontpage separately - never was included in
"office" except Office 2000 Premium or something like that.

Thanks for the info.

Neither options would give problems.
I would recommend FP2003 as there are many features there that are not
found in earlier versions.
