To-do list task start and finish dates

We are using Project Server 2003. In the to-do list functionality, the start
and finish dates default to the current date, and cannot be changed. Is this
a functionality probelm or a configuration problem? If it is the latter,
where is this setting located?

I can confirm the problem. I believe it is caused by an IE update that
causes a "Press SPACEBAR or ENTER to active and use this control" screentip
to appear whenever you click on either the Start or Finish field. This
prevents you from entering a date, either by manually typing the date or
choosing it from the calendar pick list. I do not know of any way to work
around this problem. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

I've faced the same problem with the start and finish dates default to
current date using IE7. Did you have any solutions that you can suggest to
me?

Hi Dale, Sandy,

I'm facing the same error message using IE7. any solutions on IE setup? My
temporary solution is to ask users to click several times and the calender
will appear to choose the start date.
