TOC Right Align Problems

For style TOC1 if the name of the heading is less than 4 characters then the
associated page number of the heading is not being right tabbed and filled
with the leading ....

If it is 4 or more it is fine.

So I get this:

ABC 1

instead of
ABC....................................................................................1

Any ideas on what would cause this? Looks to be an issue with Word.

It's caused by a tab set roughly 5 characters in or so. The TOC style adds
only one tab space, and if the heading is not long enough to push past the
near tab, that's what you get. Clear that first tab out, probably by
Modifying the TOC1 style, though it may have been set manually.
