TOC with some page numbers omitted

Hello,
Working in Word 2003, I am trying to create a TOC with some of the page
numbers omitted and I am not able to get the instructions I found from
Microsoft's Article - (ID 319821) to work.

Whenever I insert the field to omit the page numbers from an entry and
update my TOC, the entry is not in the correct place in the TOC, and it also
makes a duplicate copy of the entire TOC after the last item on the list. It
is very strange and I can't figure out why the TOC is being generated this
way. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated from the Word experts!

Wow Suzanne! Thanks so much, your instructions worked perfectly. I now have
my TOC with the page numbers I did not want shown omitted. I really
appreciate how quick and helpful you were in your response to my question.

I'm glad you found the article helpful. From your problem description, I was
afraid that it might be a situation where my tips wouldn't work (if you were
trying to omit page numbers from specific headings at a given level, for
example; I believe this can be done with TC fields but not otherwise).
