This one goes past just a beep! Running Office 2000 SBE on XP home
This started a few months ago, but I have put it off, trying to localize the problem
1. After I get my 30+ spam emails in Outlook, I hit the delete button repeatedly to get rid of them. After about 15 or so, I get a continous tone from my motherboard speaker. When I stop, it stops too, of course
2. In Excel, When I select a row of cells I will get the tone if I don't remove my finger from the mouse after a few seconds, and it will stop after I let go of the mouse button
I wiped my hard drive a few weeks ago and reinstaled everything. NAV 2004 goes in first, and XP and Office are both fully updated. I've been running Outlook/Excel for a decade, and have been building PC's since 1985
CPU is a p4 2ghz on an Intel 850 board w/512m mem. Of course, Intel has nothing on this.
