too many fields

I am getting a "Too Many Fields" error pop up when running a query. Please
advise what this means.

Access will typically display this message if it believes you are requesting
more fields than it can display.

If you'll copy the SQL statement (open the query in design view, click on
the SQL view, copy) and paste it into another post here, the newsgroup folks
would have some more specific information on which to base our suggestions.

A single Query can have no more than 255 fields. Do you?
