Tool Bar isn't working

I need help!!!

This problem started today, I am working on a document in
word. I went to use my thesurus in my tool bar drop down
menu and it auto shuts down the document. I reopen the
document and place my arrow over the tool on the
standard menu at the top of the page, an error message
pops up and states it is auto shuting down the document.


I can't explain this. What am I to do.
