Tool Tips Display invisible

I would like to hide the URL that appears in Slide Show mode when the cursor
mouses over a hyperlink. I went to Controls, Display, Item, Tooltip and
turned the text and box white. But, I really want it to be invisible.
PowerPoint 2003, Office Professional

Did anyone ever come up with a way to do this?? I really need to turn them
off too!

You can edit those tool tips - just put a blank space:
