Toolbar button for inserting a particular symbol.

Hello. Someone asked me recently if it is possible, in Microsoft Word,
to make a toolbar button to insert a PARTICULAR symbol into the
document. I know that the "Insert Symbol" button itself can be placed
on a toolbar. However, if a character is frequently used, it would be
nice to be able to have a button dedicated to that symbol. Is there a
way to do this? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

One way is to record a macro to insert the symbol, possibly by
the ALT+number route, and then place the macro on a toolbar. You
can even edit the button to show the symbol using something like
Paint.

This method works like a charm. Thanks for your help.
