Hi,

For a week now, windows, whether new blank documents, or existing word
files, appear, when I open them, with their title bars hidden behind my
lowest toolbar. I have to drag down on the narrow edge of the window to get
the title bar to show. Any suggestions?

Your toolbars have come undocked. Drag the lowest toolbar down a bit and
then slowly move it back into place. When it gets to its proper docking
position (it will look like it's outlined in Word 2001, if I recall), let go
and the document window should snap into place. It's a delicate adjustment
and you may have to try more than once.

And you may want to take a look here:

It's listed for Word v.X or Word04, but it should work fine with Word01.

Hi JE & Beth

I think Beth's suggestion is working.

I went to JE's article...

The way the text displays (and I've seen this before somewhere) is all
vertically. In otherwords, vertically, there is one word, then down and two
words, down one word, etc.
Like this:

one word,
then
down and
two
words,
down
one
word, etc

When I copy paste into this email or a word doc, the layout is fine. This
is for your information, I guess, unless there;s something going on with my
browser. I AM changing to Mozilla/Netscape from IE5/Mac, because certain
bank sites have upgraded their encryption beyond what IE5 can handle, not
that that has anything to do with the MVP page.

Here's something that probably doesn't belong on this word ng :) , but oe ng
isn't really very helpful. I'm getting emails from some commercial or
subscription sites with what I think is called malformed HTML rendering. A
long stretch of the beginning of the email is the written out programming of
the email's HTML, and the rest of the information is in tiny hard to read
text.
I don't know how to fix this.

Thanks for the toolbar fix.

Rafael
