Toolbar problem in V 2002 Prof

didn't get a reply in m.v.p.i, so i'm trying this group.

i recently found i could not modify toolbars in V2K, and have the new
configuration appear the next time i would start Visio. each new launch
returns a default toolbar configuration, certain buttons added earlier
don't appear. i can edit the toolbar for that session, and buttons
appear to work for that session, but no change is saved. i find the
same problem for the Admin account and the Power User account in win2k.
i suspect it's a file permission problem, but can't find one set of
permissions that will fix things. any suggestion? thanks in advance.

i find that if i remove Adobe Acrobat 6 Professional, Visio toolbar
behavior is restored -- i can add or remove toolbar buttons, and the
toolbar change is saved. i don't precisely know what Acrobat 6 is
doing that causes this. i have forwarded a bug report to Adobe.

Adobe say they are looking at the problem. meanwhile, you can disable
the feature for Visio, while retaining everything else. i have win2K,
don't know whether XP is the same or not. but in ControlPanel - Add/Remove,
then remove, re-install, and this time do not install PCF Maker for Visio;
Or, try Change/Remove and remove the Visio PDF Maker feature. this feature
wasn't available in Acrobat 5. seems Adobe should have done a bit more testing.
