Toolbars in PowerPoint 2k

Hi,

Does anyone know (if even possible) how to make an template in PowerPoint
(something like Normal.dot - MS Word) ?

I want a toolbar with some macro's. But when I open a new template the
macro's assigned to the macros doesn't work anymore. But if I choose to "run
macro" is works just fine.

TIA

Hi,

Thanks. It seems to be the thing I'm looking for.

I'll give it a go..

Hi,

It works but that leaves another question.

Is it possible to save the toolbar (icons) in the template ? I have modified
the 3 buttons but they don't seem to get attached to the template (because
other pc's haven't got em).

Maybe something with the .FaceID !?!

TIA

That's cool. But I would have prefer to have my own icons

Thanks anyway (maybe I'll use em if I can't find another solution).

Sorry, I thought I did.

Anyway, I ditch the icon idea and just made a button with a text
(because I couldn't get the selfmade icon to be saved in the template
to distribute to all the pc's). After that I saved the template as a
Add-in and the make sure the PPA file got copied to the right place
(on each pc).

This is not what I first was planning to get, but it'll have to do for
now.

Thankz... I'll try it...

Odd. There should be no problem saving any graphics you like in a template.
The problem is that when you save the template as a PPA, no slides or template
information is included in the file, so no graphics.

If you know where the template can be found, the PPA could, on loading, open the
template (w/o a window so it happens invisibly), grab the icon graphic and
copy/paste it into the button face.

Sounds ugly but it'd be quite quick (and if you don't recreate the toolbar/buttons
on each startup, would only have to be done the first time the addin loads, not on
subsequent PPT startups)
