Tools|Options Box won't open

Excel 2000 SP3
Every Time I try to Open TOOLS|OPTIONS after a few seconds I get a Excel
Error Report Box and request to sent error report. This just started today
and the last Time I used Excel was FRIDAY. I have tried the detect and Repair
and that does not correct problem. Excel has been working fine for months

I decided to do a system restore. I chose a date 5 days prior to the error
showing up and that fixed my problem ( I use WIN xp sp3). I then had 10
updated to complete, I let the computer do all ten at once. and that seamed
to work. Tommorrow will be another day. If it doesan't work I be back.
