Could someone describe the implications of the following options in
this Tab?

-Show that tasks have estimated durations
-New tasks have estimated durations

My goal is to turn off the duration "?", but not sure about the
difference between these two options.

Andy:

Both affect the appearance of the "?" mark. One for existing one for new
tasks.

Gary, is it really necessary to flag a Duration as estimated? I tend
to think that it gets in the way and have found that it impacts the
way things are scheduled.

It's not necessary, but it's rather convenient for a project manager who
hasn't finalized these for all tasks.
