Tooltip Info in Explorer?

One of my users reports that the tooltip info that used to appear when she
hovered over Office documents in Explorer no longer works.

Any ideas how to turn it back on?

Adjust Folder Options (control panel). In the View tab select "Show pop-up
description for folder and desktop items"

This has nothing to do with Office, though... (belongs in a windowsxp usenet
group)

I've only ever seen it occur with Office documents -- perhaps I don't pay
close enough attention -- so I hope you'd forgive me for thinking it was
Office related and not OS related.
