Is there a script to put an icon in the top of page rather then the ie
icon/next to title

I am assuming that you are referring to the Favicon. Google favicon. Create
or have created a favicon image. It must be: favicon.ico and must be
placed in the root directory of your web. You may optionally place this in
your home page header:
<LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://www.yourdomain.com/favicon.ico">
With IE, you must place your site in favorites for it to show.

Not in the nav bar but at the top of the page like in this instance to the
left of Discussion Groups Home-Microsoft Internet Explorer

Sorry!

All I see is the standard IE Page Icon, since I have not add the URL to my IE favorites.

I never add URLs to Favorites.

James - stop, take a deep breath and listen to what everyone is
telling you. What you are wanting to do is place a Favicon there!!
They have already given you the links and told you that even if you do
put it there, it'll never be seen by most!!
Why waist your time?
