Total daily summary of time using the "My Tasks"

Is it possible to get a total daily summary of time using the "My Tasks" page?

This same question was posted by "Chupacabra" <[email protected]> before SP-1
came out, but with no responses.

Hi Dredman,

can you elaborate a little more on what exactly you require? This may help
me giving you some assistance.

Thanks

Marc,

Thanks for the quick response. We are in the process of deploying MS Office
Project Server 2007 and have decided not to use "My Timsheets," but to use
"My Tasks" for all time entry. I have also modified "My Tasks" to display a
date grid for team members to enter their time (in hours) for each task to
which they are assigned. One hang-up with that is that there is no total for
each day, either at the top or the bottom. The only summary totals are at the
project level. Is there a way to display summary totals for each day?
Regards,

Don

Hi Dredman,

I see, yup that is a problem. Out of the box there is no way to see the
total hours entered in the "My Task" ( the downside when you dont use the
timesheet). There are 3 ways You may be able to achieve this:
1. Data Analysis. If you are after this information with some delay (
depending on when the cubes are build), then you can use the data analysis
reporting to see how much time you have entered. Since I assume that you need
to know this straith away this may not be a viable option.

2. Reporting using the Project Server Reporting DB. This will allow you to
create a "real time" report, which could show you how much time you have
entered, but also compersome :(

3. Custom dev. You can of course always create a custom page which you can
design as you need it to be. Project Server has Web Services ( called PSI)
that allows you to develop essentially (almost) anything you like. The
downfall is the cost and effort associated with it.

At this point in time, this is the only way I can see you getting your info.
I hope this helps

Thanks, Mark. I though so too, but so far, I can't find anything and nobody
else seems to have an answer, other than what I got from Marc. If you find
something, let me know. - Don
