User was just pushed Office 2003. Word version is 2003 (11.5604.5606)
She has a program which interfaces with Word templates. They were probably
created with Word 2000 or possibly Word 2002. When some of these templates
are opened now with the new version of Word, Track Changes is consistently
and inappropriately turned on.
Because this is a new push, we're not yet sure if this affects just one user
or multiple users; one template, multiple templates or all templates. We
have tried opening some plain letterhead templates and those do not have
track changes on when we open them.
Is there some sort of setting in Word we need to find to turn off track
changes by users? Is this a bug fixed by a later service pack? Having to
manually turn off TRK and Accept All Changes every time you open one of these
templates is not desirable to this user. Thanks for any help!
