What exactly are you trying to do? This is more of a Word thing, if I
understand you correctly.
General notes:
When you post in here, always include your version, SP level, and mode (if

There's no way for a sender to cancel a post - your reply alone will suffice
to alert others that they needn't bother with it.

Not sure what you mean - i just don't want to waste people's time when i post
in the wrong group - how will my reply alert others not to bother - they have
to read my reply to find out not to bother - which is exactly what i was
trying to avoid

I understood what you meant. However, in the MS public newsgroups you cannot
cancel a post when you've submitted it. Even if you could cancel it, there
are a gazillion places it will still exist (google groups, etc). Don't worry
about it. All you need to do is precisely what you did - post a reply to
your own post, saying "Never mind!" or something.
