Tracking actual completion dates

What is the best way to track actual completion dates?
You have your "Start" "Finish" dates on the project. But
how can you track the actual completion date? I have a
project date that is for example 4/21. When I put in the
actual finish date it changes the original finish date.
I need to be able to see the original start/finish dates
but also the actual completion date.

Not sure if that makes any sense, but hopefully someone
has some answers for me. The only thing that I thought I
could do was set a baseline and then track it from there.

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Exactly, that's what the baseline is for. When you've set it, View the
Tracking Gantt Chart to see differences.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
