tracking changes

When tracking changes, I want to keep the tracking bar down the side, but I
don't want to show all the changes. How cam I except all the changes, but
still show the tracking bar?

Hi Mary

In order to show the change bar, you need to keep the changes (you can't
accept them.)

To hide the individual changes and keep the bar showing you need to set up
the track changes options. The Markup for Insertions needs to be 'None' and
the markup for Deletions needs to be 'Hidden'. Balloons need to be displayed
'Never'.

Two important points:

These options apply only to your machine - if you are sending the document
elsewhere you can't control what the recipient will see.

In Word 2002 you can't set deleted text to 'hidden' from the dialog - you'll
need a small macro to do that.
