Tracking Hours

We are trying to set up an Admin/Support project to track
hours for production support that are not project-
related. When we set the task as fixed duration and
assigned resources at 0% (we do not know how much time
they will be spending on support), the hours entered went
across the entire life of the project including non-
working days, Sat & Sun (i.e. entered 10 hours during one
week and it placed .28 hours on every day for the life of
the project rather than on the day entered. When we had
fixed work(10 hours) and entered 10 hourts, it placed 8
on today and 2 on tomorrow even though our tracking
settings allowed up to 16 hours per day to be entered.
The other issue is that if we have 6 resources assigned,
the first one to their tasks and makes the task 100%, all
the other assigned resources do not see that task any
longer. What is the easiest way to get this done????

Thanks,

Kevin

Never mind, got it figured out. The lady I was testing
with was putting assignments on a summary task and it
took the hours out over the entire year. Once it was on
a subtask everything worked according to plan.
