Hi
I have some tracking issue I cannot understand.
I'm using Project 2003 and Server 2003 and set the tracking method to "Hours
of work done per day or per week" and set i to days.
Look at www.clk.dk/tracking-issue.gif for at view of the tasks in project.
1)
A resource is assigned to a task that is set to effort driven and has fixed
units. If the resource registers more time on this task than planned, the
result is changed units (to compensate for the extra amount of work done.
the duration isn't changed).
This is the case for task #4 and #5 in the picture
2)
A resource is assigned to a tast that isn't effort driven but has fixed
units. If the resource registers more time on this task than planned, the
result is more work, but NO changes in units or duration. This is the case
for task #6
What I want the result to be is this: When a resource is using more time
than planned, the duration of the task should be extended to match this
extra work.
Eg.: A 4h work task with 100% units assigned to a resource is actually done
i 5h. Result: 5h duration, 100% units and 5h work.
Is this possible?
Thanks!
Kasper
