Tracking Settings Error Message in SP2A

David

Anyone,
-We're in the process of testing SP2A and encountered something weird.

-Nightly, we copy our PROD ProjectServer DB to test. The prod project
environment is at SP1 for client and server with additional recommended
patches.

-While editing then saving PROJECT X, in our SP2A testing environment, we
received the error message "Your Project Server's Tracking Setting was
changed since you last saved this project."

-We have not received this message before release SP2A was installed in our
test environment.

-Since TEST is restored from the PROD projectserver DB, the tracking
settings should be identical. Just to verify I doubled checked the settings
through PWA-->ADMIN-->CUSTOMIZE PROJECT WEB ACCESS--TRACKING SETTINGS and yes
the settings are identical.

We have not been able to reproduce the error, nor does it appear that we
lost any actuals.

We'd like to move SP2A to prod next week but now we're compelled to hold off
until we determine if there maybe any Tracking Setting issues associated with
SP2A.

Has anyone else received any similar error messages or experienced issues
related to this error message in the Project Server SP2A environment?

David.

David:

You say that you do the Prod to Dev refresh nightly. You stopped doing this
after applying SP2a to dev, correct?

We reapply the SP2A patches after each backup, also running upgdb112.cmd to
elimante the java script error message through PWA.

Is your thought the process we're stepping through introducing the Tracking
Setting error?

David:

Just trying to establish a context. Does the error persist after the first
time you get it?

Gary,

So far we've not experienced a reoccurence. The issue does not persist in
the project in question. For now lets consider this a NON ISSUE.

Should it occur again I'll gather more detail and contact you.
As always, I'd like to thank Dale and you for the support and assistance.
