Tracking Time in Excel

I need to enter blocks of time (h:mm) in Excel and have it to generate
a total in each column. How can this be done correctly?

How do you want the total? Also h:mm or h.99?

If you want it to remain h:mm, just format all of the cells as hh:mm and a
simple sum formula will work.
