bonjour , depuis que Windows XP est installé je ne trouve plus la fonction "traduire"; j'ai essayé : winword.exe /a et celà ne rétablit pas la fonction disparue et que j'utilisais sous Windows Me; merci de votre réponse, Anne

Hi Anna,



When you start Word using the /a switch you are starting Word using the installation defaults. If "traduire" (Translation) is not available then it indicates it is supplied by a third-party add-in rather than Word.



Word 2003 does have a translation utility but since you indicated you were using Windows Me that leads me to believe you are not using Word 2003.



Third-party add-ins are placed in one of the Startup folders to make their functionality available to Word.



I suspect your Word Startup folder path was modified when you installed Windows XP since it utilizes profiles. This location can be obtained under Tools/Options/File Locations.



You'll need to find the Translation template and make sure it is placed in either your Word Startup folder or the Office\Startup folder which is located in the Office installation path.
