Training video/slide show

Hello,

I am a Microsoft Access developer. I have never used
PowerPoint before, but would like to learn.

I am interested in developing a training video using
PowerPoint (if this is the right application to use). I
would like the video to be interactive - show a small film
clip with slides intermixed, then ask a question. Then, I
would like to record the user's answers in some type of
file or database.

Is this possible? And if so, are there samples of
something like this in PowerPoint - something like
Access's Northwind database, or on the Microsoft web site?

Before embarking on this, I think I'd look into automating Media Player from
Access.
Between that and possibly displaying bitmaps exported from PPT slides, you
might be able todo all you need in the environment you're most familiar
with.

Thanks Steve

I was hoping you might say that.... I have been thinking
that maybe you're right and I started to map out how to do
it with a test application before I got your reply.

I've used automation before (several times), but never
with PPT. This might get real interesting.

Thanks again

You're welcome ... and if you do decide to go with PPT, please feel free to
come back any old time.
