My wife does medical transcription from the home. She has hundreds of auto
correct entries saved in office 2000. We just purchased a new computer with
windows xp pro. How do we transfer these entries into the new computer? Any
assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Purchase and install Microsoft Office 2003, then use
Windows XP's Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

If all you need are the AutoCorrect entries then this article contains
a utility you can download for this purpose:
http://word.mvps.org/FAQS/Customization/ExportAutocorrect.htm

I'm also wondering if you are referring to AutoText, where you type
the first few characters and press Enter to complete the entry. If
that's the case then these are stored in Normal.dot. If that's the
case, all you need to do is take Normal.dot from the old computer and
replace Normal.dot on the new computer.

If you're not sure it doesn't hurt to do both. :)

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
