Transfer field contents to a second field

Hello,

I need to automatically transfer/mirror an integer from one field into a second field and then concatenate a default alpha character to that integer. For example: fld1=23 alpha character="M" fld2 should be 23M. Can't find a way; probably missing something very simple.
