Transfer / Migrate ? Copy out contacts and email from backup Cd

I got a CD that the office depot geek squad copied for me which has my
favorites, music, outlook email and contact etc... all on the disk. I paid
$100 for them to do this for me. Now that I have the disc, I still cant
access the files on the disk to copy them contacts and email to the new
laptop. I have tried to un check the read only and it tells me I dont have
permission. I am in desperate need of help.. Please please please give me
baby steps on how to do this as i can not afford to pay them again to load
the info on the disc to the new laptop. Please help. i used to think i was
fairly smart and pretty advanced with my pc technical skills but this is one
i just cant seem to resolve. I have visited many of the sites and links that
others have sugested with no luck. HELP ME !

Why create a second thread? Just stick with the first and answer the
questions there.
Clarify why you can't access the files on the disk. You've told us nothing.
