MS Project for Mac is so old that I haven't run it for years, and I
can't verify the exact steps, but yes, it's possible.
If you're not using a Mac (which this *.mac.office.excel newsgroup is
for), both Project 2003 and Project 2007 have an Excel import wizard
that makes the process easier.
