Uninstall whatever you installed on your desktop, then install whatever, on
your laptop, and that assumes its not an OEM version of whatever that is
licensed only to the first PC it is installed on.

I suspect the OP is talking about Office and it's quite possible that he
or she is allowed to install it on the desktop and laptop even if it is OEM.

Note to LISAC, the EULA is the license agreement, You know that box you
clicked on when installing that had 20 pages of legal sounding stuff that no
one ever reads.
